Welcome to Bridge56

Bridge 56 is our dynamic program for 5th and 6th graders, designed to bridge the gap between elementary and middle school while fostering growth academically, socially, and spiritually. At Bridge 56, students are challenged to think critically, explore new ideas, and deepen their understanding of God’s world in a safe, supportive, and Christ-centered environment.
Our curriculum integrates rigorous academics, hands-on learning, and character development, giving students the tools they need to succeed in upper grades. Beyond the classroom, Bridge 56 encourages collaboration, leadership, and personal responsibility, helping students grow as confident, curious, and compassionate young people.
Whether through engaging projects, meaningful discussions, or experiential learning, Bridge 56 is a place where students can explore their passions, discover their gifts, and prepare for the next stage of their academic journey. Join us as we build a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning, friendship, and faith.

5th and 6th Graders

No, Bridge 56 is not middle school—it’s its own unique program. Think of it as an intermediate school experience, designed specifically for 5th and 6th graders. It serves as the step between elementary and middle school, giving students a chance to grow academically, socially, and spiritually in a setting tailored to their age and developmental stage.
Bridge 56 provides a bridge—hence the name—helping students build independence, critical thinking skills, and confidence, while still benefiting from the guidance and support of a close-knit school community. It’s the perfect way to prepare for the challenges and opportunities of middle school while celebrating the unique stage of 5th and 6th grade.

Students engage in math, reading and literature, science, history, Bible, and enrichment electives, all designed to challenge and engage 5th and 6th graders.

Bridge 56 combines the supportive structure of elementary school with the independent learning and critical thinking skills needed for middle school, offering a balance that meets the unique needs of this age group.

Absolutely. Students finish Bridge 56 with strong academic skills, confidence, and independence, ready to transition successfully into middle school.

Bridge 56 follows the same daily schedule as the rest of the school, with academic blocks, specials, and recess built in.

A block schedule means students spend longer periods of time on each subject, allowing for deeper learning, hands-on projects, and less rushing between classes. It gives students time to focus and engage fully with each topic.

Yes. Students may have different teachers for core subjects and specials, such as Bible, science, or enrichment, giving them access to teachers with specialized expertise while still maintaining a consistent, supportive learning community.

Some classes may be combined for certain subjects or projects, allowing for collaboration and mentoring opportunities. Other classes will be grade-specific to ensure content is developmentally appropriate and tailored to each group’s learning needs.
